This is beautiful! When did you go Jenn? Did you hike much of the trail? I've had the AT on my list of things to do since right before Eli was born. Now that he is getting a little older I might do the section in NJ whenever I can get it planned in the summer.

It was an awesome view that day! My mom and I hiked the short approach trail to Springer Mountain in mid-September. Even though we didn't get farther than that, it was honestly so exciting just to step foot on the trail and see it and things read about firsthand, especially with my mom. Seymour Trains would be the perfect AT traveling kitty - he wouldn't add an ounce to your backpack :) It's just been a couple of years that I've been interested in the AT, but I'm like you - I would love to hike part of it.
